9/28/19
Itinerary
8:30 a.m. – Arrive at WHS
8:45 a.m. – Depart for Carrollton
10:00 a.m. – Suit up for parade, warm-up, walk to parade route
11:30 a.m. – HS parade performance
12:00 p.m. – Turn in uniform
12:10 p.m. – Lunch provided by the Band-Aides for those who turned in forms at camp or beginning of school year.
2:10 p.m. – Drumline suit up in uniform (or costume…)
2:30 p.m. – Drumline warm up
3:15 p.m. – Load trailer for indoor percussion
3:49 p.m. – Drum-Line performance (remove uniforms/costumes upon completion of performance back at camp.)
4:15 p.m. – Dinner provided by the Band-Aides (Guard eat after indoor performance at 4:55)
4:45 p.m. – Color Guard performance (suit up and warm up times announced by coaches)
5:20 p.m. – Suit up for field show
5:40 p.m. – Warm up at our campsite, head to practice field at 6:00.
6:15 p.m. - Practice field for band warm-up
6:30 p.m. – head to performance field
6:45 p.m. – HS Field performance
7:00 p.m. – remove uniforms. Clean up camp and return to field to watch bands.
8:30 p.m. – Awards presentation, then load buses.
Home by 11 p.m. at latest. Clean up buses and then dismissed. Kids will call to give ride givers an accurate time. Please be here when we get here.
--Remember your PINK band shirt, long black socks, your shoes and your gloves.
--If you are riding home with your own parent be sure to sign out with Mrs. Ray before you leave.
--If you are riding home with another parent/person make sure the proper form has been approved by Mr. Chapman or Dr. Pummill at least 48 hours in advance. Forms available in band room or main office
--The Carrollton Boosters are selling Band Day shirts for $15 if you are interested in purchasing one. Programs are $3. (This is info from 3 years ago – haven’t heard of any changes.)
--There is no ticket fee to watch the festival events.
--Students will be expected to watch performances throughout the day and not wander away from the festival. This is a good time to work on a recital report… (Watch 5 bands from the front to write the critique – use the scoring rubric as a guide).
--All school policies apply. Refer to handbook.
